Attempt to Identify Child Sexual Assault Suspect

The Mesa Police Department is asking for assistance from the community in identifying an unknown sexual assault suspect. On January 9, 2017, an unknown male entered a residence in the area of Broadway and Mesa Drive, just east in Mesa while the occupants were sleeping. When the suspect was inside the residence, he sexually assaulted a child.
A witness in the area provided the following description of the suspect: Hispanic male, approximately 18-30 years-old, short build, with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a t-shirt and shorts. Anyone with information is asked to call the Mesa Police Department at 480-644-2211 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS. Callers may remain anonymous.

El Departamento de Policía de Mesa está solicitando ayuda de la comunidad para identificar a un sospechoso de asalto sexual. El 9 de enero de 2017, un hombre desconocido entró a una casa en el área residencia de Broadway y Mesa Drive, justo al este, en Mesa mientras los ocupantes dormían. Cuando el sospechoso estaba dentro de la residencia, atacó sexualmente a un menor. Un testigo en el área proporcionó la siguiente descripción del sospechoso: Hombre hispano, de aproximadamente 18-30 años de edad, de estructura corta, con pelo corto y oscuro. Fue visto por última vez con una camiseta y pantalones cortos (shorts).
