Media Release – Four subjects in-custody for multiple burglaries.

The Mesa Police Department would like the community to be aware that three suspects are in custody for a string of burglaries that occurred between June 14^th and June 15^th.On June 14^th, a burglary was committed in the area of N Stapley and E. Lehi Rd. during which numerous firearms and high end jewelry was taken. On June 15^th, one burglary and an attempted burglary were committed in the area of N. Val Vista Dr. and E Brown Rd during which high end jewelry was taken.  A vehicle description was obtained from a witness of the burglary that occurred on June 15^th. A bulletin was sent out to patrol officers regarding the burglaries.  Later in the day on June 15^th, an officer observed a vehicle parked at a motel in the area of S. Williams and E. Main St. The vehicle matched the description of the vehicle involved in the burglaries.  A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and stolen property was recovered from inside the vehicle. Michael Gonzalez, Manuel Rios, and Jose Acevedo were taken into custody on charges related to the burglaries. On June 16^th detectives located a fourth subject wanted in connection with the burglary loading items into his vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted and stolen property was recovered from inside the vehicle. Scotty Olson was taken into custody on charges related to the burglaries. All four suspects in custody have numerous arrests and contacts with the Mesa Police Department.  A great example of teamwork from the numerous Mesa officers and detectives involved.
