Vehicle Burglary - Attempt to Identify

On April 14, 2017 around 3:50 a.m., the suspect pictured attempted to enter and did enter multiple vehicles on the street in the block of 2700 E. Harmony, removing change from the center console area. Suspect was viewed on video surveillance taking their time in each vehicle. Only a few victims desire prosecution.

Subject is described as a male or female wearing jeans, a hoodie and glasses. The suspect left the area on foot.

Theft of Credit Card - Attempt to Identify

Case #2017-0250393
A vehicle burglary occurred in Chandler between 2:30am on January 24, 2017 and 5:30 am on January 25, 2017; several credit cards were taken. On January 25, 2017 at 4:19am, the female pictured here used the victim's stolen credit cards at the Walmart at 1710 S. Greenfield in Mesa.

Vehicle Burglary - Gas Syphoning

On August 15 at 1:40am, the suspect backed into a parking space at 830 N Alma School Road. The suspect connected an apparatus with attached hose line enabling him to syphon gas from the victim's vehicle. The suspect appeared to be pretending to reorganize equipment in his own vehicle as a cover until the gas syphoning was complete.

The suspect is described as a White male, approximately 40 years of age, 6'00" tall, 180 pounds, with thin to medium build, dark hair.  He was wearing a light colored T-shirt, jeans and light colored tennis shoes with dark laces.

His vehicle is described as a two-toned white body and gray bottom, late 90s model, Dodge Ram 1500, single cab, with snug fit camper shell. The camper shell had storage compartments that opened on the passenger side. The camper shell also appeared to have a small ride on lawn mower or go-cart tied down to the roof.

**Note: there was also a gas syphoning of 75 gallons of diesel fuel that occurred in the 900 block of N Riverview on September 30.

Seeking Help Identifying Vehicle Burglary & Forgery Suspect

We believe the woman pictured was involved in two vehicle burglaries in the East Mesa area on July 10, 2014. She was driving a white passenger car. Both purses stolen were left inside vehicles in plain sight.

Please remember to lock up purses and other valuables in the trunk and lock your doors when your vehicle is left unattended.

Vehicle Burglary Prevention Tips

Vehicle burglaries often occur at night when people are sleeping and the burglar can sneak around in the darkness without being noticed. They also occur in parking lots in the middle of the day. These crimes are often preventable. How can you protect your vehicle from being burglarized? Following these simple guidelines will make your vehicle less of a target.

• Do not leave any valuables in the vehicle. Out of Sight – Out of Mind. If there is nothing in the vehicle, there is no reason to break in.
• Roll the windows all the way up. Even a window rolled down ‘just a crack’ provides easy access.
• Lock the doors every time you leave the vehicle; even if you only plan to ‘run in for just a minute.' This includes tailgates on pickups. Keep the doors locked when in the garage, too. Keeping your doors locked also prevents small children from becoming trapped in a vehicle if they find an unlocked door and get in to play – this could result in a tragedy in our Arizona heat.
• Set the alarm, if you have one. Most key fobs lock the doors with one press of the ‘lock’ button, but require two immediate presses of the lock button to set the alarm.

A few simple prevention steps will reduce your chances of becoming a victim of burglary or having your vehicle stolen. Remember, vehicle insurance often does not cover your personal items that are left inside the vehicle when it is burglarized. Paying deductibles for broken windows and stolen items could result in higher insurance premiums. Lock it or lose it!
