Death Investigation
On August 20 at 2:21 am, during a detention officer walk-through in our holding facility, a 51-year-old male prisoner was found to be non-responsive while lying in his cell bunk. Mesa Fire responded and pronounced him deceased. A death investigation is being conducted at this time. The subject was in our facility for a warrant arrest and was intoxicated at the time of his arrest.
