Fatal Hit & Run Suspect In Custody

 Matthew McIver, 36, was booked this afternoon on Manslaughter and Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Accident for his role in last Tuesday evening's accident at Ray/Sossaman in which 68-year-old Richard Welck was killed. McIver's light silver 2005 Saturn VUE has been impounded as part of the investigation. This is the result of a citizen tip and the diligent efforts of our Vehicular Crimes Unit and is another example of the community partnering with their local law enforcement to impact crime.
