Project Blue Heat

Project Blue Heat is a collaborative effort to proactively combat commercial sexual exploitation of children and trafficked adults in Mesa. In our recent operation, 7 suspects (seen below) were arrested for child prostitution, a class 2 felony.

Our goal is to rescue juvenile victims of sex trafficking, provide services and suppress demand by responding to juvenile escort ads; arresting traffickers; providing services to to juvenile victims (i.e., housing, clothing, counseling/medical services, etc.) and targeting solicitors of child prostitution; arresting offenders; suppressing demand.

A $121, 303 grant was received from the Hickey Family Foundation to assist the Mesa Police Department with this project so personnel could provide uninterrupted focus on the investigations while utilizing existing staff.
