Bank Robbery – Arrest

On August 8th, 2018 a suspect (later identified as Roland Oxendine) walked into the Bank of America located at 1210 S Power Road in Mesa, AZ and presented a note stating it was a robbery. The note threatened he would kill someone if they stalled. Oxendine left the bank without receiving any money. Fortunately, patrol officers were already in the area when the call for service was received and Oxendine was located a short distance away. Besides matching the clothing description as observed in the surveillance footage, Oxendine admitted to the robbery saying he needed money for a drug debt. Oxendine was charged with one count of Armed Robbery. Great police work by all involved.
