Structure Fire
On May 28, 2014 at 8:43 am, officers responded to a structure fire in the 11100 block of East Newcastle. Upon arrival, officers found the front of the residence engulfed in flames. Fire personnel responded from Mesa, Apache Junction and Gilbert. Officers learned that a neighbor was passing by when he observed smoke coming from the small golf cart garage next to the residence. The neighbor knocked on the door and the homeowners and pets safely evacuated. The homeowner believed that the fire started from a golf cart parked in the small garage. Mesa Fire investigators responded for follow up; nothing suspicious was observed as this time.
