Mesa’s Crime Rate at 50 Year Low!

According to the 2012 FBI Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Statistics, the City of Mesa, when ranked against cities with a population over 400,000, placed:
  •  3rd lowest in the Nation for overall Part 1 Crimes.
  • 3rd lowest in the Nation for Violent Crimes.
  •  4th lowest in the Nation for Property Crimes.
2012 saw the lowest crime rate Mesa has had in more than 50 years. This ranking for our city is a great accomplishment for the community and our first responders. We expect this downward trend will be evident in 2013 statistics as well.

Mesa PD is thrilled to earn this ranking and will continue to dedicate our efforts to ensure that Mesa continues to be a safe place to work and live.
