Assault and Arrest

On 11-17-15 at 10:06 pm, a victim was involved in an altercation that resulted in him being chased by two vehicles in the area of 800 S. Frasier to 600 S. Bellview in Mesa. At some point during the chase, the suspects were able to run the victim off the road and, once he exited his vehicle, shots were fired at him, striking his vehicle. The suspects fled the area. The victim was found hiding in a nearby apartment and was found to have concealed a significant amount of methamphetamine and marijuana prior to police arrival. Probable cause exists to charge one suspect in the shooting. The victim was booked for drug related charges. The Gang Unit was on scene for the incident and took the lead in the investigation.
