24 Hour Exceptional Incident Report

ARSON
On June 9 at 12:50am, officers responded to a residential structure fire in the 4800 block of S Emery. The residents evacuated the residence prior to arrival and no one sustained any injuries. The first started in an unoccupied upstairs bedroom and the source of the fire could not be determined. Fire investigators responded to the scene to continue the investigation.

ASSAULT
On June 9 at 9:20pm, offices responded to a subjects disturbing call in the area of Elton and Williams. Upon taking the suspect into custody, the suspect punched an officer in the face. The suspect continued to resist arrest and was Tased. The officer suffered injury to his eye. Mesa Fire & Medical treated the suspect at the scene and he was transported to Banner Dessert. The suspect is being charged with multiple charges, including aggravated assault on an officer, criminal damage and disorderly conduct.
