Stolen Vehicle - Arrest

On February 24, we responded to the 2600 block of East Broadway for a stolen vehicle call. Security video showed the victim's car keys had been stolen from the location. At 6:56pm, the stolen vehicle was involved in a hit-and-run; the driver exited the vehicle, then got back in and drove away into a neighborhood. Officers took the driver into custody and he admitted to stealing the vehicle and the hit-and-run. A DRE investigation was also done on the driver, as marijuana had been found and he admitted to using it. The hit-and-run victim also positively identified the suspect.
