On September 5 at 8:20 pm, the suspect entered the Subway store at 1106 North Gilbert Road and made an order. When he went to pay for it, the suspect handed the employee a note demanding money. The employee handed the suspect some money and the suspect left, heading south on Gilbert Road. The suspect was described as a Black male, 5' 8" tall, 105 lbs. with facial hair. He was wearing a red baseball cap, sunglasses, a black shirt, black basketball shorts and white shoes.
